a compilation of demos and unreleased songs that was released after member valerie cooper left + sweet trip’s disbandment, making this their final album (sad) i wishhhhh this had more vocals from valerie. the track 'working' stood out to me, a very melancholic, dreamy song.

this is prince’s sixth studio album which served as the soundtrack to the film of the same name, also released in 1984. what else to say about this album other than it’s an absolute classic... if i was alive in the 80’s i would listen to this everyday. the title track, ‘purple rain’ is so beautiful, the violin and piano in the outro sounds like shit they’d play in heaven. ‘let’s go crazy’ is another highlight for me, the guitar and synths are tooooo good!

the second full length album by danish artist ML Buch, this is my first time listening to a full body of her work. i really enjoyed the airy-ness of the guitar, reminds me of being in a windy field on a sunny day. i loved 'high speed calm air tonight', 'well bucket', and 'flames shards goo'

solo project of micheal lückner, i first heard ‘sunkissed’ a while ago and decided to give it a full listen. i love the dream-pop sound throughout the album. wish it was longer!!!

the debut album! first time listening to her (wow) i love the harps on this album. her voice is so beautiful in a unique way, almost björk-esque. highlights for me were 'sprout and the bean', 'this side of the blue', and 'peach, plum, pear'.

love a couple tracks on this one, the songs sometime sounded like bland copies of one another... may need to grow on me a little

classic, legendary, incredible... i knew i’d like this album from the moment i heard ‘changes’ :) i really liked 'oh you pretty things', and ‘life on mars’ is one of my favourite bowie songs!

my introduction to sparks! glam rock at its finest!! i have a feeling that the chorus of ‘amateur hour’ will be stuck in my head for a while...

i enjoyed this album more than i expected to! very beautiful 80's sounds! 'creatures of love' has to be my favorite track off this record. who doesn't love some talking heads!! :)

first time fully listening to a brian eno album! knowing him from his works with david bowie and talking heads i knew i was going to like this album (also idk there’s just something about 70’s art/glam rock that i just adore with all my heart...) highlights for me were 'burning airlines give you so much more', 'back in judy's jungle', 'third uncle', 'mother whale eyeless', and 'taking tiger mountain'.

i am now wondering why this wasn't the first eno album i listened to. this record is one of the best i have heard from the 70's. the guitar in this album (especially 'baby's on fire') is too good.

from the beginning, this album creates a dark, angry atmosphere. which is perfect considering thats how i feel most of the time these past few months. just like 'the downwards spiral', the lyrics on this album are heavy and laced with rage. the first track 'somewhat damaged' conveys the feelings of being betrayed by someone close to you. the guitar/trent's vocals become increasingly aggressive as the song goes on. a lyric i've held onto is "everything you swore would never change is different now". 'the wretched' speaks of a person who has found themselves at the bottom, realising that their life didn't turn out they way they expected.

k-pop excellency, i enjoyed every track off this ep! my most favorite would be 'touch', it's just such a cute song + their vocals are lovely. reminds me of 'love & live' by loona 1/3

'girls never die' is such a beautiful title track i lowkey cried.. such an inspiring message and a unique sound. i love 'heart raider', 'midnight flower', 'chiyu', 'beyond the beyond', and '24'! i <3 tripleS

knew i had to listen to throbbing gristle one day, and that day happened to be today. i knew this was going to be quite experimental so i wasn't really expecting to enjoy it as much as i did. i think it's sort of wild that this was made in the 70's. i really liked the ambient tracks 'beachy head' and 'exotica'. the industrial sound can be heard in the title track '20 jazz funk greats' and 'hot on the heels of love', both which i enjoyed too. 'persuasion' is a bit unsettling (in a good way), reminds me of suicide's 'frankie teardrop'.

the debut swans album, also the first one i've listened to. VERY loud and angry, heavy guitar and drums. i really enjoyed 'weakling', 'power for power', and 'blackout'. there's also a deluxe of the album which includes extra tracks, i have not listened to it in full (perhaps later) but i heard 'sensitive skin' which i really enjoy as well. i might have to revisit this one once ive listened to their discography.

loved listening to this album, favorite tracks are 'the magic number', 'tread water', and 'eye know' :)

this is probably my favorite swans album i've listened to so far, i love 'i am the sun', 'mother father', and 'mind/body/light/sound'

the lyrics on this album are quite interesting, heavy religious references (hence the album title), quite heavy to listen to but i enjoyed it! highlights for me were 'new mind', 'our love lies', 'blackmail', 'in my garden', and the title track 'children of god'.

first elliott smith album ive listened to. ive heard a couple tracks off this album like 'everything means nothing to me' and 'everything reminds me of her', i thought this album would be sad to listen to which is why i decided to listen to it when i was in a bad mood.

beautiful, dreamy, lovely. just don't listen to this when you're heartbroken (unless you want to cry)...
